Privacy policy

The short version: we store only the minimum needed to make this work. We don't sell it, we don't give it to third parties, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time.

What is stored

• Your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the name they provide (Google also provides a profile picture URL). These are used to recognize who you are.
• The answers and comments you write.
• Gatherings you host: time, city, place and description. The full address is visible only to people who have signed up.
• Your sign-up history, and the photos you upload.
• Your sign-in session (one cookie).

What is not stored

• No passwords. This site does not use passwords at all.
• No payment information. Nothing here costs money.
• No ad tracking, no third-party analytics scripts, no tracking pixels.

Where it lives

Data is kept on Amazon Web Services servers in Northern Virginia, USA (us-east-1), in a dedicated database, encrypted in transit and at rest. Photos are kept in a private storage bucket; each link to view a photo is newly signed every time and expires after one hour.

We use only three third parties: Google and Apple (if you choose to sign in with them), and Amazon Web Services (hosting, database, sign-in code emails). No one else.

How to delete it

Write to tom@anureka.com, ask, and we will delete your data, no reason needed. Any gatherings you have hosted are deleted along with it, and the people who signed up will see that the gathering is gone.
